Stuffed turnip with bulgur

 



Ingredients

  • Turnip: 4 grains
  • bulgur: a cup
  • Minced meat: 125 grams
  • Cinnamon: 1 tablespoon (ground)
  • Salt: a teaspoon
  • Pomegranate molasses: a cup
  • Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Olive oil: a quarter of a cup
  • Garlic: 4 cloves (crushed)
  • Vegetable oil: a quarter cup
  • Mixed spices: a tablespoon




How to prepare

  • Wash and peel the turnip and get rid of the pulp by kerneling it.


  • Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown and drain off the oil with paper towels.


  • Prepare the turnip stuffing, mix the bulgur, meat and spices together in a suitable bowl, and stuff the turnips with the filling.


  • Bring a large pot and put pomegranate molasses, olive oil, tomato paste and water in it and let the ingredients boil together on the fire.


  • Add the turnip and let it boil with the ingredients for 20 minutes, then reduce the heat, cover the pot and leave it until it is cooked for 60 minutes.


  • Add chopped garlic to the ingredients and let it boil for 20 minutes.


  • Pour the turnip into a serving dish, and serve hot.
