Egyptian Fattah
Ingredients
- Rice: 400 grams
- Meat: 500 grams
- Bread: 200 g (toasted)
- Meat broth: 2 cups
- Garlic: 2 tablespoons
- Tomato sauce: a cup
- Vinegar: a quarter of a cup
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Butter: 300 grams
How to prepare
- On a medium heat, put the butter and garlic in a suitable saucepan, stirring, until the garlic turns golden.
- Add the sauce and keep stirring until the sauce is done.
- Add vinegar to the mixture, stir it a little, then add a little water, salt and black pepper and bring it to a boil.
- In a bowl, put the toasted bread and water it with the meat broth.
- Boil the rice with a little salt.
- In a suitable tray, put a layer of bread on top of it with a layer of rice and repeat the process until the quantity runs out.
- The last layer of rice, put the entire amount of sauce and spread the meat over the dish.
- Put the tray in the oven and turn on the grill for a few minutes, and serve hot.
