saffron tea

 




Ingredients

  • Water: 3 cups
  • Mint: 10 leaves (fresh)
  • Hill: 3 grains
  • Cloves: pinch (crushed)
  • Saffron: a quarter of a teaspoon
  • Cinnamon: Oud
  • Lemon juice: one and a half tablespoons (fresh)
  • Honey: as desired




How to prepare

  • Pour water into a jug over medium heat, add cardamom pods and mint leaves.


  • Add the saffron, and when the water begins to heat up, add the cinnamon stick.


  • When the mixture boils, reduce the heat under the jug and let it boil for 3 minutes.


  • Remove the jug from the heat, then pour the lemon juice, and filter the mixture from the ingredients.


  • Pour the tea into serving cups, sweeten with honey as desired and serve hot.
