Stuffed green pepper

 




Ingredients

  • Rice: 1 cup (white)
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Minced meat: 250 grams
  • Onion: 1 piece (grated)
  • Olive oil: a tablespoon
  • Ready-made marinara sauce: 2 cups
  • Broth: a cup (chicken or beef)
  • Red pepper: a quarter of a teaspoon
  • Tomato: a cup
  • Parsley: a quarter cup
  • Garlic: a tooth
  • Salt: a teaspoon
  • Black pepper: a teaspoon
  • Green bell pepper: 4 grains
  • Parmesan cheese: a cup
  • Balsamic vinegar: a tablespoon





How to prepare

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.


  • Put the rice with water in a medium saucepan, reduce the heat and leave it for a period of 20 to 30 minutes until it is cooked, then remove it from the heat and set it aside.


  • Fry the onions in hot olive oil and stir over the fire until they wilt and turn golden, cut them in half and leave one of them aside and the other in the pan.


  • Add the marinade, minced meat, balsamic vinegar and red pepper to the onions in the pan, stir the mixture and leave it on the fire for two minutes.


  • Add the tomatoes, minced meat mixture, salt, black pepper, sauteed onions, parsley and Parmesan to the rice and mix well.


  • Arrange the bell pepper in an oven tray and stuff each half with the rice and meat mixture, then cover the tray with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for 25 minutes.
