Red pasta with chicken
Ingredients
- Pasta: a box (farfalle or as desired)
- Vegetable oil: 3 tablespoons
- Chicken breast: 500 grams (cut into small cubes)
- Onion: ½ cup (finely chopped)
- Garlic: 1 tablespoon (crushed)
- Hot pepper: 3 teaspoons (powdered)
- Tomato sauce: a cup
- Salt: a teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1 teaspoon (ground)
- Basil: a quarter cup (leafy green)
How to prepare
- Heat the oil in a deep saucepan over a medium heat and add the chicken.
- Use the wooden spoon to break up the chicken and leave it on the fire until browned.
- Add the onions and stir with the chicken until softened, then add the garlic and hot pepper.
- Pour the tomato sauce and season with salt and black pepper.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture boil over a low heat.
- Boil pasta in salted water until tender.
- Drain the pasta from the water and pour it over the sauce.
- Start stirring the pasta until it mixes well with the sauce over a low heat for two minutes.
- Place pasta with hot tomato sauce in a serving dish and garnish with basil leaves.
